Bossy Bingo 50/50 | Tree Sale
Bossy Bingo is a popular fundraiser held by the SWCD every year during The LaPorte County Fair. Tickets are $10.00 each. To play, you fill out the stub portion, which we keep. Once all sales have ended we take all the stubs, mix them up, and draw them randomly; placing them on our Bossy board.
We take the board over to the show arena where the grid is duplicated on the floor. Then, Bossy is brought in to do her thing. If she uses the restroom on your square, you win half of the money collected! If she doesn’t use the restroom within a half hour, we blindfold one of the judges, spin them around, and have them toss a Frisbee to mark the winning square.
This is a very important fundraiser for the SWCD. Bossy Bingo proceeds support our FREE education programs that we offer to the public.
Bossy Bingo 2012 will be held at 5:00PM at the Show Arena on Thursday, July 12. Contact the SWCD office for ticket availability date. Tickets are available during Fair week at the SWCD booth in the Conservation Building until 4:00PM the day of the event. |

Every year, the SWCD provides a variety of tree seedlings to the public at an affordable price. Catalogs and Order forms are mailed directly to customers on our mailing list after the first of the year. Order forms are also available on our website, through the local papers, and at the SWCD office. Orders are accepted through March. Tree pick up is in April. Please see Terms and Conditions below for specific ordering information. Thank you
Is your yard full of trees from previous years? How about trying something new? The SWCD is now offering native plants, grasses, and wildflowers. The need for education about Native and Invasive plants has grown. The LaPorte SWCD continues to support native planting through conservation practices, rain gardens, and butterfly gardens.
We will also be offering educational workshops during the Tree pick-up. Check back soon for additional information!
